Current Hair Trends 2018

So can you believe we are almost at the end of January already, it will be Christmas again before we know it! I know, I shouldn't have said that, but time is going so fast. Thinking back over 2017 though, so much has happened...Doctor Who finally has a female doctor, America got Trumped, the fight to displace plastics is on the rise, and the list goes on!

Anyways, I could sit here and rabble on about all the thousands of hairstyles that have been and gone in the past year but I really CBA! Instead I would like to talk to you about what I feel is trending right now, that is in my personal interest.

This day in age I really believe individuality is amongst its most productive era. But what is individuality? I always find it hard saying this as inspiration comes from all around us, objects, people, nature etc. An idea always comes from something that has been done before, we just create our own interpretation.

So I feel this is not to say an individual is not...individual, nor creative, because they are productive and visionary. Seeing something and forming a new version, collaborating a variety of ideas into one. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and a view, not to discriminate, we don't want any of that neg vibe! Being constructive in the way you see things and remember things and molding it into what you want it to be. I have been reading a book recently and within this book it quotes " write the book you want to read" so be the person you want to be and wear the hair you want to wear :)

Metallic Accessory

I have been doing a lot of research on these little beauties recently and I have become a little obsessed! A metallic accessory I feel is a really cool way to add that extra bit of interest to your style. My advice would be keep them petite, you don't want to overkill.

Wavy Bangs

A personal favourite. The texture in these styles creates an attitude, an effortless desire and a gorgeous finish! It can work well with all hair types, the trick is using the right products, having the right length and of course the right hair stylist ;)

The Bubble Ponytail

A fancy way to dress out your long locks. I have seen this done several times in the past but it always catches the eye. With a variety of ways to achieve this look its one not to go a miss.

Inspiration Notification - Jane Birkin

Jane Birkin, an inspiration, an idol, a beautiful individual! Fashion has many icons and Jane is amongst the most sassy. Her imagery is flawless! Coming into the spotlight in the 1960's, from there she reined as the beauty she is! I advise you check out the Instagram dedicated to her @jane.birkin and see for yourself :) as I often do.
