Spring Has Sprung – And So Has a New Focus 🌸

Our availability

Hi. And welcome to my updated Swanky Update :)

Spring seems to have sprung :) I honestly could not be happier with this weather. It has worked magic on me, and I hope it has done wonders for your mood too.

The longer days, that little bit more energy and now, an opportunity to think renewal, a fresh start, it’s time to bloom into action. I want you to reconnect with the positivity of 2025. Remember at the beginning of the year when we set out to grow and progress? Well I lost sight of that for a minute and the earlier version of myself and got too caught up in the wanting everything to happen now. Things happen when they are meant to, as long as you show up each day. Showing up doesn’t mean burning the candle at both ends.. It's getting through the door (mentally and/or physically) and if it’s 10 hours of productivity or 1 hour, it is a step closer to your goals and therefore your dreams.

🌍 Salon News: Our Focus on Sustainability

This April, sustainability is going to be my focus. I’ve always cared about our planet, but I know I can do more to actively show that care – especially through the business.

That’s why I’m excited to introduce a brand I’ve truly fallen in love with: Authentic Beauty Concept.
They’re more than just beautifully packaged products (though they are gorgeous on the shelf!). Their ethos is built around:

Clean beauty

Conscious choices

Authentic living

All of which align with the way I approach hair, business, and life. With vegan formulas, mindful packaging, and transparent sourcing, Authentic Beauty Concept is proof that you don’t have to sacrifice values for performance.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be looking into more ways Swanky’s can be more sustainable and friendly to our planet as it’s something that often takes residence in my brain, and it’s time to act on it. You can read more about my plans and about my favourite seasonal hair trends in my latest blog Spring Hair Trends & Sustainable Haircare with Swanky Malone

✂️ Availability Update

We’ve noticed a huge wave of bookings recently, especially after a quieter February and early March. I reckon this sunshine has a little something to do with it ☀️

Whether you’re looking for colour, a restyle, hair-up for a special occasion, a fade, or fresh extensions – someone on our talented team will have you covered.
You can check availability and book online right here.

As for me, my diary is now officially open for the rest of 2025!
No spontaneous trips to the other side of the world… yet. 😉

So, let this be your gentle reminder of what spring represents:
🌱 Growth.
🌼 Renewal.
🌸 New beginnings.

Whatever happened yesterday has passed. What we can focus on is today. Maybe that means committing to one walk a week, booking a blow dry (😉), going to the gym more, or carving out a little quiet time just for yourself. Whatever your version of growth looks like – do it. Use it.

There’s a quote I’ve seen floating around Instagram that I keep coming back to:

“Start in April.
Start on Wednesday.
Start in your 40s.
Start at 3:49pm.
Start late.
Start.

Getting started is the hardest part. But once you do, you’re already halfway there. 🙌

Thank you so much for being here, for reading this, and for being part of the Swanky’s family. Myself and the team hope to see you in the salon soon – or maybe in the comments section of this blog post if you want to say hi and let me know your thoughts on this new update style 💬
